Our Mission

Shepherd's Center East is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to promote continued personal and spiritual growth and to help mature adults lead creative, meaningful and independent lives.

As a nonprofit organization affiliated with Shepherd's Centers of America, SCE proudly offers a variety of exciting programs and rewarding volunteer opportunities. All of our programs are open to the public with the exception of our medical transportation services which are limited to East Charlotte residents (age 55+).

Goals & Purpose of Shepherd's Center East

Provide opportunities for life-long learning through educational programs, classes, seminars & lectures
Promote health & wellness through education, fitness programs, medical transportation & health screenings
Provide opportunities for socialization through social activities, outings and peer companionship
Coordinate resources and referrals as needed for older adult participants
Provide volunteer opportunities and community outreach
